I have a hard time with the Feeling Sentimental set…I like the set, but always struggle with how to use it. I think I will go back and add a sentiment when I decide what I want to use this cad for. I used the Freshly Made sketch and the Addicted to CAS inspiration challenge of Masculine to make this card.
This sketch is all over Pintrest. It is so beautiful and I found it perfect to use with this week’s Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. The colors were 2 shades of blue and yellow. It also had flowers on it, so the Madison Avenue set seemed perfect. I went with Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, and So Saffron.
I took this simple sketch from Sweet Sunday and turnd horizontal. I’ve been looking for an opportunity to use elegant eggplant and this was perfect! I love it with the Melon Mambo.
I used the masculine Seize the Birthday sketch for the layout. The Operation Write Home midweek challenge this week was to use the colors of your state flag. Being from Texas, anytime I use red, white, and blue it looks like a 4th of July card to me. So I used red and blue but went with a deeper red, cherry cobler, and darker blue, night of navy. I think it turned out better than I thought it would, and I don’t think it looks like a 4th of July card at all.
I used the Freshy Made Sketch for my layout. I turned the circle on the top into a rectangle. I frequently get stuck on circles, so I typically turn them into rectangles or squares. I used the Colour Q Challenge for my color choice. I just discovered this challenge and I love it. I felt like 5 colors was just too much for me so the only primrose petals in this card is in the middle flower…but I feel like I found a way to make it work. 🙂
