I am in Love with this card! I am so pleased with how it turned out. I almost didn’t do the Dynamic Duos challenge this week because I don’t have garden green ink…but then I remembered I could use some neutrals. Not to mention I Love this sketch from Create with Connie and Mary!
Today when I was cardmaking my sweet niece woke up from her nap and begged me to make a card for Gramee. She really wanted to make a birthday card but Gramee’s birthday was in January and there was no way she would be able to keep it hidden until next January. We then had to have the same discussion about a Valentine’s card. So we finally agreed on a ‘love you’ card. She picked out everything on this card…EVERYTHING! Looks like I’ve got another papercrafter in the family. She literally finished writing her name, walked out of my crafting area, and gave it to Gramee…se there was no way she was keeping it until next January!
I used the Freshy Made Sketch for my layout. I turned the circle on the top into a rectangle. I frequently get stuck on circles, so I typically turn them into rectangles or squares. I used the Colour Q Challenge for my color choice. I just discovered this challenge and I love it. I felt like 5 colors was just too much for me so the only primrose petals in this card is in the middle flower…but I feel like I found a way to make it work. 🙂
