I used the Operation Write Home sketch for the layout (I love that they put diminsions in) and I used the Muse card to pick my colors. If you see where the yellow is on the Muse card, it looks like 2 shades of yellow. So I used So Saffron and More Mustard. Then down where it says Hello is a dark blue. So, I pulled out some night of navy. While I was writing up this post, I decided it needed a something else, so I added a night of navy button to the corner…I think it helped.
I used the masculine Seize the Birthday sketch for the layout. The Operation Write Home midweek challenge this week was to use the colors of your state flag. Being from Texas, anytime I use red, white, and blue it looks like a 4th of July card to me. So I used red and blue but went with a deeper red, cherry cobler, and darker blue, night of navy. I think it turned out better than I thought it would, and I don’t think it looks like a 4th of July card at all.
A Valentine for my Hubby! He loves blue so I had to use Night of Navy. I used the Retro Sketches Challenge #50 for the layout. I have to be honest, I’m ready for V-day to be over so that all the challenges are done with the hearts and pinks. I love pink, but I need to space it out. 🙂
