Nacho Average Challenge, Operation Write Home, and Merry Monday

For Nacho Average Challenge…
I used some of the new in colors! I am loving these colors. At first I thought they were going to be too pale/muted for me (I love the regals), but the more I use them, the more I love them!

Operation Write Home recipe

image

Operation Write Home recipe.  I found this much more difficult than I expected.  I had it all put together and realized that I didn’t use a border punch.  So, I took it all apart and punched along the bottom layer of the dsp.  Now I’m fllowing ALL the directions…1 embossing folder, 2 designer series papers, border punch, and ribbon.  Whew…

Seize the Birthday #6 and Operation Write Home

image

I used the masculine Seize the Birthday sketch for the layout.  The Operation Write Home midweek challenge this week was to use the colors of your state flag.  Being from Texas, anytime I use red, white, and blue it looks like a 4th of July card to me.  So I used red and blue but went with a deeper red, cherry cobler, and darker blue, night of navy.  I think it turned out better than I thought it would, and I don’t think it looks like a 4th of July card at all.

Operation Write Home Sketch #159

SAMSUNG

I changed the card quite a bit.  I like the sketch from Operation Write Home #159, but I don’t have a 2 1/2 in circle punch and was totally fixated on the size.  Maybe I need to order one in my next order.  I also made the banner an inch wide instead of 1/2 inch.  I used my color coach to select the colors.  I went with pretty in pink, certainly celery, and bashful blue.
