I made this card using the Colour Q challenge and a sketch I found on Pinterest…I don’t know the source…sorry.
I used the Mojo Monday Sketch and selected the colors using the Create with Connie and Mary challenge. But, I made a slight mistake…the Create with Connie and Mary challenge is Stampin’ Up Only and I used the chipboard cutout from Close to my Heart…oops! But I do like the way the chipboard scalloped oval looks, so I’m not going to change it; I just won’t link up to their challenge this week. 😦
I used the Retro Sketches challenge to make this beautiful card.
I used the Freshy Made Sketch for my layout. I turned the circle on the top into a rectangle. I frequently get stuck on circles, so I typically turn them into rectangles or squares. I used the Colour Q Challenge for my color choice. I just discovered this challenge and I love it. I felt like 5 colors was just too much for me so the only primrose petals in this card is in the middle flower…but I feel like I found a way to make it work. 🙂
This card is for one of my co-workers that I share a birthday with next week. When I saw the sentiments in the ‘One in a Million’ set, I just knew I would have to mix and match the sentiments in this way for her. I find myself very funny, even if I’m the only one. I used The Paper Players color challenge #132 to select the colors (love the 2012-2014 in colors) and the Seize the Birthday sketch challenge #5 for the layout. I’m petty pleased with myself with this one. 🙂
A fluttering birthday card make using Retro Sketch #49.
