I have been eyeing this set for quite a while. I just became a demonstrator in January and since Christmas had already passed, I wasn’t in a hurry to get it. But since its on the retiring list, I just couldn’t pass it up! I was so excited when I saw the Merry Monday challenge this week because I knew it would fit perfectly with my new set!
I made this card using the Pals Paper Arts color challenge!
I used the Mojo Monday Sketch and selected the colors using the Create with Connie and Mary challenge. But, I made a slight mistake…the Create with Connie and Mary challenge is Stampin’ Up Only and I used the chipboard cutout from Close to my Heart…oops! But I do like the way the chipboard scalloped oval looks, so I’m not going to change it; I just won’t link up to their challenge this week. 😦
I used the Freshy Made Sketch for my layout. I turned the circle on the top into a rectangle. I frequently get stuck on circles, so I typically turn them into rectangles or squares. I used the Colour Q Challenge for my color choice. I just discovered this challenge and I love it. I felt like 5 colors was just too much for me so the only primrose petals in this card is in the middle flower…but I feel like I found a way to make it work. 🙂
I made today’s card for the CAS[E] this sketch #13 sketch challenge. I use the color coach to select the colors. I love this color combo and am really pleased with how this card turned out!
