I made this card using the Freshly Made Sketches. I just got my new all dressed up framelits in the mail yesterday and am in LOVE!
This sketch is all over Pintrest. It is so beautiful and I found it perfect to use with this week’s Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. The colors were 2 shades of blue and yellow. It also had flowers on it, so the Madison Avenue set seemed perfect. I went with Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, and So Saffron.
I used the Operation Write Home sketch for the layout (I love that they put diminsions in) and I used the Muse card to pick my colors. If you see where the yellow is on the Muse card, it looks like 2 shades of yellow. So I used So Saffron and More Mustard. Then down where it says Hello is a dark blue. So, I pulled out some night of navy. While I was writing up this post, I decided it needed a something else, so I added a night of navy button to the corner…I think it helped.
I made this card today for the Mojo Monday #277 card sketch challenge and the CR84FN70. I am just discovering all the challenges out there. I was sad to find out that this will be the last challenge for CR84FN. The color challenge was aqua, tan, and light yellow. So I went with Stampin’ Up!s baja breeze, crumb cake, and so saffron. It was a great color pallet to create a birthday card for my best friend’s son! I used the pennant parade stamp set.
Okay so this is my first post and my first challenge. I am so excited to become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I’m the crazy person who joined the Stampin’ Up! family before really building up my supply of materials. So, until I can afford to buy more, you will probably see a lot of the same stamp sets. I do have a decent amount of inks, but am still building that up as well. If you notice, I only used certainly celery ink, that’s because I do not yet own so saffron. But I did mount the stamped image on so saffron cardstock which I feel really made it pop. I know it’s simple, but give me time. Plus, I like simple!
